This Trolley-Rack for Isolation and Faraday Cage Cubicles was developed to hide the large number of cables and connections that many isolation chambers require. Suitable for 2 chamber systems only, typically built for use with extra-tall chambers.
Our engineers designed the Trolley-Rack as a factory built system that could be taken from a transit crate in one piece and wheeled into place, eliminating the effort needed to handle, move and install individual stations to the system interface and control.
AC power connections are then made to an optional integrated supply bus requiring only one plug going to a single AC outlet. This reduces the number of AC cables and provides for an electrically safer environment as earth grounding is properly terminated. Computer and Interface connections are then easily made once all cables are routed to the PC location, above or below the cubicles. The user’s monitor, keyboard and mouse can be located away from the system as needed. The computer and interface are not part of the Trolley-Rack these are purchased separately. Workstation monitor, keyboard/mouse extra length cables, and testing equipment are sold separately.
In conclusion, the Trolley-Rack represents a savings when consideration is given to the ease of installation, the safety features we have incorporated, and the advantages in the efficiency of day-to-day functions of the lab and its cleanliness and tidiness, which offsets the initial cost.
The Trolley-Rack follows a concept originally published by John Hopkins University (the materials used by Lafayette Instrument are much more economical but the space saving layout and mobility of chamber is in principle the same).
