What does the AWM sensor sense to calculate the distance run in a Mouse Activity Wheel? Do I need to make an adjustment when using the Mouse Miss-Step wheel with missing rungs?

Distance is calculated based on total revolutions of the wheel; however, revolutions are based on rungs detected in the Mouse Miss-Step Wheel. Therefore, it is necessary to use the "C" switch position on the 86061 Counter and adjust the revolution settings for the counter as shown below:
